- Le choc médical (le collapsus circulatoire) - 病人失血过多,出现休克 (bìngrén shīxuè guòduō, chūxiàn xiūkè) le patient a trop saigné et a fait un choc.
- Un emprunt (« shock ») ; strictement l'état médical, non le choc émotionnel.
- Pour le choc affectif, emploie 震惊 (zhènjīng) ou 吓 (xià) ; 休克, c'est perdre connaissance à la suite d'un traumatisme.
