- « L'après-midi » - 下午三点 (xiàwǔ sān diǎn) trois heures de l'après-midi. Le mot de temps se place devant le verbe : 我下午去 (wǒ xiàwǔ qù) j'irai cet après-midi.
- Il forme un ensemble avec 上午 (shàngwǔ, la matinée) et 中午 (zhōngwǔ, la mi-journée).
