How it came to be
A body sitting with the legs drawn up. That is how a dead person was laid out, and also how a living one rests. The back is the long stroke.
用法
- A corpse: 尸体 (shītǐ) dead body, 尸检 (shījiǎn) autopsy, 死尸 (sǐshī) a cadaver.
- 行尸走肉 (xíngshī-zǒuròu) = a walking corpse, someone living without purpose.
- 尸位素餐 (shīwèi-sùcān) = to hold a post without doing the work.
