- Almost exclusively in 辗转 (zhǎnzhuǎn, note the reading shifts to zhǎn): to toss and turn sleeplessly - 辗转反侧 (zhǎnzhuǎn-fǎncè) tossing from side to side.
- 辗转 also means to pass through many hands/places indirectly: 辗转来到北京 (arriving in Beijing after a roundabout journey).
