How it is used
- A (written) letter of resignation - 他递交了辞呈 (tā dìjiāo le cíchéng) he handed in his resignation letter.
- Formal workplace document; typical verbs are 递交/提交/递上 (submit) 辞呈.
- 辞呈 is the physical letter; the act of resigning is 辞职 (cízhí). Don't say "辞呈了" - you 递交辞呈 or 辞职.
