How it is used
- A road intersection/junction - 在路口左转 (zài lùkǒu zuǒ zhuǎn) turn left at the intersection.
- The 口 (mouth/opening) marks a junction point, as in 门口 (ménkǒu) doorway, 入口 (rùkǒu) entrance. A crossroads is 十字路口 (shízì lùkǒu), literally a '十-shaped intersection'.
