How it is used
- To carry out/enforce an order, plan, task, or law - 执行任务 (zhíxíng rènwù) carry out a mission; 执行命令 obey and execute an order.
- Formal/official register: the subject implements what was decided by authority. 执行力 (zhíxínglì) = ability to get things done.
- Distinguish from 进行 (jìnxíng, to be carrying on an activity): 执行 is enforcing a specific directive; also the tech sense 'run/execute'.
