How it is used
- To implement and promote a policy/system/method broadly - 推行改革 (tuīxíng gǎigé) carry out reforms, 推行新政策 (tuīxíng xīn zhèngcè) roll out a new policy.
- Implies actively pushing something into widespread practice, usually top-down.
- Contrast 实行 (shíxíng, put into effect) and 执行 (zhíxíng, execute/carry out an order). 推行 stresses the promoting/spreading effort.
