How it is used
- Both "a habit" (好习惯 hǎo xíguàn a good habit) and "be used to" (习惯了 xíguàn le have gotten used to it).
- As the verb, it takes what you adapt to directly - 习惯这里的生活 (xíguàn zhèlǐ de shēnghuó) get used to life here.
- Distinguish from 熟悉 (shúxī, be familiar with): 习惯 is having adapted/grown accustomed, 熟悉 is knowing something well.
