How it is used
- To cause/bring about - almost always a bad result - 造成损失 (zàochéng sǔnshī) cause losses; 造成误会 (zàochéng wùhuì) create a misunderstanding.
- Key trap: 造成 takes negative outcomes. For good/neutral results use 带来 (dàilái) or 使 (shǐ). It links a cause to its (usually harmful) effect.
