How it is used
- Coherent / well-connected - of narrative, logic, or actions - 文章前后连贯 (wénzhāng qiánhòu liánguàn) the essay hangs together well.
- Praises smooth linkage between parts (动作连贯 fluid movements; 逻辑连贯 logically coherent).
- 连贯 = ideas/parts flowing together without gaps; opposite of 脱节 (tuōjié, disconnected). Different from 通顺 (tōngshùn), which is more about smooth wording - 和现实脱节 (hé xiànshí tuōjié) out of touch with reality.
