- So far / up to now - formal - 迄今为止 (qìjīn wéizhǐ) up to now / to date.
- Almost always in the set phrase 迄今为止, prefacing a statement about the state of things until the present (迄今为止最好的结果).
- Written register; more formal than 到现在 (dào xiànzài) or 到目前 (dào mùqián). Common in reports, news, and academic writing.
