How it is used
- Slight / minor in degree - 只受了轻微的伤 (zhǐ shòu le qīngwēi de shāng) suffered only minor injuries.
- Common with damage, symptoms, effects (轻微感冒 a mild cold; 轻微违规 a minor violation).
- Downplays severity; more formal than 一点 and stronger as an understatement than 小. Opposite direction from 严重 (yánzhòng, serious).
