How it is used
- Colloquial "to wander / stroll around" with no fixed purpose - 我在街上转悠了一会儿 (wǒ zài jiē shàng zhuànyou le yíhuìr) I wandered around the streets for a while.
- Casual, northern-flavored speech; also "an idea keeps circling" in one's mind (脑子里转悠).
- Note 转 is read zhuàn here (to revolve). More aimless and relaxed than 逛 (guàng, to go strolling/shopping) with a destination in mind.
