How it is used
- 'A little while, a moment' - 等一会儿 (děng yíhuìr) wait a moment; 一会儿见 (yíhuìr jiàn) see you in a bit.
- Doubled as 一会儿...一会儿... it means 'now... now...': 一会儿哭一会儿笑 (yíhuìr kū yíhuìr xiào) crying one moment, laughing the next.
