How to remember 身高: 身 body + 高 high = height.

How it is used
- A person's height as a measured figure - 他身高一米八 (tā shēngāo yì mǐ bā) he is 1.8m tall.
- It is a noun (the number itself), so you state it with 是 or just give the figure; don't say 很身高.
- Contrast the adjective 高 (gāo, tall): 他很高 he is tall, but 他身高一米八 gives the actual measurement. Common on forms, IDs, and in sports.
