How it is used
- To walk / go on foot - 走路去 (zǒulù qù) go on foot; 走路上学 (zǒulù shàngxué) walk to school.
- Verb-object compound; it's the means of getting somewhere, unlike 散步 (sànbù), which is a leisurely stroll for its own sake.
- Colloquially 走 alone can also mean 'leave': 我先走了 (I'm off).
