- To leak (secrets/information) - 走漏风声 (zǒulòu fēngshēng) to let word get out; 走漏消息 (zǒulòu xiāoxi) to leak news.
- About confidential info escaping, often through carelessness. Also smuggling/tax evasion sense.
- Fixed collocation 走漏风声 is the most common. Contrast 泄露 (xièlù, to divulge), which can be deliberate.
