How it is used
- Temper / temperament, usually the quick-to-anger kind - 发脾气 (fā píqi) lose one's temper; 脾气很大 (píqi hěn dà) hot-tempered.
- qi is neutral tone; 好脾气 = easy-going, 坏脾气 = bad-tempered.
- Contrast 性格 (xìnggé), which is the whole personality; 脾气 focuses narrowly on one's temper and irritability.
