- Similar to / analogous - often takes an object or introduces a comparable case - 类似的情况 (lèisì de qíngkuàng) a similar situation; 类似于X similar to X.
- Contrast 相似 (xiāngsì, two things resemble each other mutually): 类似 more often points 'A is like B' or flags 'this kind of thing', and reads more written.
