- To exert physical force / put strength into an action - 用力推 (yònglì tuī) push hard; 用力一点 put some muscle into it.
- A verb-object phrase (use + strength), so it can split: 用点力、用了很大力. Contrast 努力 (nǔlì, to make effort/try hard), which is about diligence, not physical force.
