How to remember 有意: 有 have + 意 idea = to intend.

How it is used
- Two uses: 'intentionally' - 有意刁难 (yǒuyì diāonàn) to deliberately make things hard; and 'interested in' - 对她有意 (duì tā yǒuyì) to be romantically interested in her.
- As 'on purpose' it's near 故意 (gùyì) but a touch less blameful.
- Context decides between the 'deliberate' and the 'keen on' senses.
