How it is used
- To turn around - a vehicle doing a U-turn, or a person turning - 前面路口掉头 (qiánmiàn lùkǒu diàotóu) make a U-turn at the intersection ahead.
- Common in driving. 掉头就走 (diàotóu jiù zǒu) turn on one's heel and leave. Also written 调头.
