Characters
How it is used
- Be interested in - always takes 对 for its object: 对历史感兴趣 (duì lìshǐ gǎn xìngqù) be interested in history.
- The verb is 感 (feel), and 兴趣 (interest) is the object, so degree words insert inside: 很感兴趣 / 感兴趣极了. Contrast the noun phrase 有兴趣 (yǒu xìngqù); both work, but 对…感兴趣 is the standard frame.
Example sentences
- 我不感兴趣。 Wǒ bùgǎnxìngqù.I'm not interested.
- 我对运动感兴趣。 Wǒ duì yùndòng gǎnxìngqù.I'm interested in sports.
- 她对摄影很感兴趣。 Tā duì shèyǐng hěn gǎn xìngqù.She's very interested in photography.
