How it is used
- A weak point / failing: 抓住弱点 (zhuāzhù ruòdiǎn) to seize on a weakness, 人性的弱点 (human failings).
- A vulnerability, whether personal, tactical, or structural.
- Compare 缺点 (quēdiǎn, a shortcoming/flaw generally); 弱点 stresses a soft spot that can be exploited. Opposite 优点/强项 - 很多优点 (hěn duō yōudiǎn) many strengths.
