- Fame, how well-known someone/something is - 很有名气 (hěn yǒu míngqi) quite famous.
- Colloquial; note the neutral tone 气 is míngqi. Contrast 名声 (míngshēng), which is about reputation being good OR bad (名声不好); 名气 is more about degree of renown.
