How it is used
- To preserve/keep/store; also 'save' a file - 保存文物 (bǎocún wénwù) to preserve relics; 记得保存文件 (jìde bǎocún wénjiàn) remember to save the file.

- Contrast 保留 (bǎoliú, to retain/hold back) - 保存 is about physical preservation, 保留 is about retaining a right, opinion, or portion.
