How it came to be
A hand at the top with several silk threads hanging from it, gathered into one grip. Everything connects to everything else through the one hand, which is what a system is.
How it is used
- Connection / relation / tie - 关系 (guānxi) relationship, 联系 (liánxì) get in touch, 系统 (xìtǒng) system.
- Everyday in 没关系 (méiguānxì) it doesn't matter / no worries; also a university department - 中文系 (Zhōngwén xì) the Chinese department.
