How it came to be
Grains of rice lying on both sides of a line, seen from above. It looks a little like a tree, but it is only grain.
How it is used
- Two jobs. Rice - 大米 (dàmǐ) uncooked rice, 米饭 (mǐfàn) cooked rice, 玉米 (yùmǐ) corn.
- And the unit 'meter' - 他一米八 (tā yì mǐ bā) he's 1.8 m tall, 厘米 (límǐ) centimeter.
