昏 hūn dusk
dusk; nightfall; twilight; dark; muddle-headed; to faint
How it came to be
The sun drawn below the surname block, so the light is under the thing rather than over it. The sun has gone down past the edge of something and what is left is half dark.
How it is used
- Dusk / dim - 黄昏 (huánghūn) dusk, 昏暗 (hūn'àn) dim and gloomy.
- Also to lose consciousness: 昏迷 (hūnmí) coma, 昏倒 (hūndǎo) to faint. 头昏 (tóuhūn) means dizzy/muddle-headed - the mind gone 'dark'.
