恩 ēn kindness

How it came to be
The because block, a person lying on a mat, over a heart. What you rest on, felt as a feeling: somebody else's support under you, and being grateful for it.
How it is used
- Kindness one owes a debt of gratitude for: 恩情 (ēnqíng) loving-kindness, 报恩 (bào'ēn) to repay a kindness, 恩人 (ēnrén) a benefactor.
- 恩爱 (ēn'ài) = (a couple) loving and devoted; 忘恩负义 (wàng'ēn-fùyì) = ungrateful.
- 恩怨 (ēnyuàn) = the tangle of favors and grudges between people.
