用法
- "Increasingly / all the more" before an adjective or verb - 天气越发冷了 (tiānqì yuèfā lěng le) the weather is getting colder and colder.
- Written/slightly literary flavor; in speech people more often say 越来越 (yuèláiyuè). 越发 also works in the "the more…the more" sense: 你越劝他,他越发生气.
- Don't confuse with 越过 (to cross over) - 越发 is purely an intensity adverb, never a motion verb.
