用法
- To demand / ask for (and expect to receive) - 索取回报 (suǒqǔ huíbào) to demand a return; 索取资料 to request materials.
- Often carries a taking/demanding tone; famously contrasted with 奉献 in 只知索取,不知奉献 (only take, never give).
- Formal register; stronger and more one-sided than 要 or 请求.
