- To collect/claim something officially given out - 领取奖品 (lǐngqǔ jiǎngpǐn) collect a prize; 领取工资 (lǐngqǔ gōngzī) draw one's wages.
- Formal 'go and receive' what's due to you (benefits, documents, awards). More procedural than plain 拿 (ná, take) or 收 (shōu, receive).
