- To be close to / draw near - 靠近窗户 (kàojìn chuānghu) near the window; 别靠近 (bié kàojìn) don't come close.
- Both a verb (approach) and 'located near'. 靠 (lean on) adds a sense of nestling up against; more physical than 接近 (jiējìn).
