How to remember 附和: 附 near to + 和 and = to agree.

How it is used
- To chime in and echo what someone else says, often without independent thought - 大家纷纷附和 (dàjiā fēnfēn fùhè) everyone chimed in agreement.
- Slightly negative: implies going along to fit in rather than genuine conviction (随声附和 = to echo mindlessly).
- Read fù hè (和 = hè here, 'to join in/harmonize'), not the common hé. Contrast 同意 (sincere agreement).
