How it is used
- A formation - the arranged shape of a group moving together - 保持队形 (bǎochí duìxíng) to keep formation.
- Used for troops, dancers, birds, sports teams, planes; it's the geometric pattern, e.g. 一字队形 (a single-file line).
- Distinct from 阵容 (zhènróng, the lineup/roster of who's on the team) - 队形 is their spatial arrangement.
