- 'Hurriedly, at once' - describes reacting quickly to a situation: 他连忙道歉 (tā liánmáng dàoqiàn) he hastily apologized.
- Adverb only, and only for actions already happening/happened - you can't use it for commands. Near 赶紧/赶快, but 连忙 is more narrative and about an immediate reaction.
