How it is used
- To operate / run / turn - of machines, systems, or organizations - 机器正常运转 (jīqì zhèngcháng yùnzhuǎn) the machine is running normally.
- Also the physical revolving of bodies (地球绕太阳运转 the Earth revolves around the sun) and smooth functioning of an org (公司运转顺畅).
- Note 转 (zhuǎn). 运转 emphasizes something turning/functioning; overlaps 运行 but keeps the sense of rotation/keeping the wheels turning.
