How it is used
- To meet the required standard - 各项指标全部达标 (gè xiàng zhǐbiāo quánbù dábiāo) all metrics met the standard.
- Verb-object (达 reach + 标 standard); common in quality, health, environmental, and performance checks (体检达标 passed the physical).
- Its opposite is 超标 (chāobiāo, exceeds the limit) or 不达标 (fails to meet); 达标 means hitting the benchmark, no more no less - 污染超标 (wūrǎn chāobiāo) pollution over the limit.
