How it is used
- The physical body/frame, usually a whole living body seen as a form - 高大的身躯 (gāodà de shēnqū) a tall, imposing frame.
- Literary and often dignified, used when describing someone's build or a body in a solemn context (用身躯挡住 shield with one's body).
- More formal and image-laden than everyday 身体; you'd meet 身躯 in narration, not casual conversation.
