How it is used
- To argue a point with evidence and reasoning; also the argument itself - 论证这个观点 (lùnzhèng zhège guāndiǎn) to make the case for this view.
- Academic/formal. Contrast 证明 (zhèngmíng, to prove a fact) - 论证 is the reasoned demonstration process, 证明 the establishment of truth.
- Common in essays, theses, project feasibility: 可行性论证 (kěxíngxìng lùnzhèng) feasibility study.
