How to remember 行业: 行 go + 业 industry = trade.

How it is used
- An industry or trade sector - 服务行业 (fúwù hángyè) the service industry, 各行各业 (gè háng gè yè) all walks of life.
- Note the reading háng, not xíng. Refers to a field/line of business, broader than one 公司.
- Distinguish from 职业 (zhíyè, one's occupation): 行业 is the sector, 职业 is your personal job.
