- Comfortable, cozy - of environments and conditions: 舒适的环境 (shūshì de huánjìng) a comfortable setting, 舒适的座椅 comfy seat.
- Written/refined counterpart of the spoken 舒服 (shūfu); crucially 舒服 also describes bodily wellbeing (我不舒服 I feel unwell), but 舒适 does not - you can't say 我不舒适 to mean 'I feel sick'.
- Common in ads for hotels, cars, homes.
