How it is used
- 'At least' for a minimum amount or a fallback point - 至少要三个小时 (zhìshǎo yào sān ge xiǎoshí) it'll take at least three hours; 至少你还活着 (zhìshǎo nǐ hái huózhe) at least you're still alive.
- Antonym 至多 (zhìduō) / 最多 (zuìduō) 'at most' - 最多十个 (zuìduō shí ge) ten at most.
- Distinct from 最少 (zuìshǎo, the smallest amount); 至少 sets a lower bound or offers reassurance, not just the numerical minimum.
