How it is used
- Proud (in the good sense) of an achievement - 为祖国自豪 (wèi zǔguó zìháo) proud of one's country.
- Positive pride in something you or yours accomplished; pairs with 为…感到自豪 (wèi… gǎndào zìháo).
- Contrast 骄傲 (jiāo'ào), which means 'proud' but can also mean arrogant/conceited; 自豪 is only the wholesome kind.
