How it is used
- Notes you write down - 记笔记 (jì bǐjì) to take notes, 一本笔记 (yì běn bǐjì) a notebook of notes (CL 本 běn).
- Watch the split: 笔记 is the notes (noun), while 笔记本 (bǐjìběn) is the physical notebook - and also the everyday word for a laptop.
- Don't confuse with 日记 (rìjì) diary; 笔记 is study/meeting notes, 日记 is a personal journal.
