- An air conditioner or air conditioning - 开空调 (kāi kōngtiáo) turn on the AC, 空调坏了 (kōngtiáo huài le) the AC is broken.
- Note the reading: 调 is tiáo (to adjust), not diào. Measure word 台 (tái) for the unit: 一台空调.
