How to remember 着落: 着 ongoing action (verb suffix) + 落 fall = whereabouts.

How it is used
- A settled outcome / something to rely on - 这笔经费还没有着落 (zhè bǐ jīngfèi hái méiyǒu zhuóluò) the funding still isn't secured.
- Read zhuóluò. Often 有/没有着落 = 'sorted out' or 'up in the air'. Also whereabouts of a missing thing. Abstract 'resolution', not a physical falling.
