How it is used
- To nurse / care for a sick or vulnerable person - 她在医院看护生病的母亲 (tā zài yīyuàn kānhù shēngbìng de mǔqin) she's at the hospital caring for her sick mother.
- Read kān (first tone). Warmer and more medical than 看管; implies attentive care for people, not just watching over things.
